Aim:

To build participant knowledge and skills in Working with Alcohol & drugs Awareness.

Objectives:

• Prevalence of alcohol and drug dependent parents including issues or gender, culture and class
• Impact of alcohol and drug dependence on parenting and family's social circumstances
• Link between alcohol and drug dependence on and child abuse/child development
• Which children are most at risk?

Training Method
Tutor input, Question and answer session, Group work Case Studies, Practice of skills
Course Materials
All participants will receive a course booklet containing all the key ideas and support material covered on the course.
Course length

1 Day, 10am - 230pm.
