Carers working with Allegations

Aim:
To build participant knowledge and skills working with Allegations.
Objectives:

• Provide applicants with a balanced and realistic imderstanding of allegations, without discouraging them
• Assist participants to consider how everyone involved can play a part in minimising the incidence of allegations of abuse
• Introduce participants to the complementary booklet Dealing with Allegations, and the procedures for managing allegations
• Advise participants of the procedures that apply to their particular service  

Training Method

Tutor input, Question and answer session, Group work Case Studies, Practice of skills
Course Materials
All participants will receive a course booklet containing all the key ideas and support material covered on the course.
Course length
2 Day, 10am - 230pm.
Suitability
This course is suitable for Residential Care Staff, Care Support Staff, Foster Carers, Social Workers, Teachers and Learning Support Assistance.
