Managing Concerns & Allegations

Aim:
To build participant knowledge and skills regarding Managing Concerns & Allegations.
Objectives:

  • To understand what a 'concern', 'complaint' and 'allegation' is
  • To be familiar with the processes involved in relation to Complaints and Allegations
  • Complaints Procedure 
  • To be aware of the responsibilities amongst the professional Network
  • Understand the Legal Framework
  • To understand why the LA and Agency have to 'investigate' in a certain way
  • To know what support is available during a complaint or allegation
  • To have a set of tools to avoid having complaints and allegations made against me

Training Method
Tutor input, Question and answer session, Group work Case Studies, Practice of skills
Course Materials
All participants will receive a course booklet containing all the key ideas and support material covered on the course.
Course length

1 Day, 10am - 230pm.

Suitability

This course is suitable for Residential Care Staff, Care Support Staff, Foster Carers, Social Workers, Teachers and Learning Support Assistance.
