Promoting Positive Behaviour

Aim:

To build participant knowledge and skills in dealing with and promoting positive behaviour.

Objectives:

• Understanding Behaviour
• Learn how to encourage and maintain positive behaviour
• How to use rewards
• How to use sanctions
• How to give instructions appropriately

Training Method
Tutor input, Question and answer session, Group work Case Studies, Practice of skills
Course Materials
All participants will receive a course booklet containing all the key ideas and support material covered on the course.
Course length

1 Day, 10am - 230pm.

This course is suitable for Residential Care Staff, Care Support Staff, Foster Carers, Social Workers, Teachers and Learning Support Assistance.
