Aim:
To build knowledge and skills on Safe Caring.
Objectives:
- Understand the concepts of hazards, risks and vulnerability
- Recognise the hazards of living and working with traumatised children
- Understand how to assess risk to the child, carers and others
- Think about how to manage these risks
Training Method
Tutor input, Question and answer session, Group work Case Studies, Practice of skills

- To have a knowledge of Child Abuse
- To have a knowledge of the Strategies for Safe Caring
- To be able to prepare for a Child's Placement
- Case studies to develop practice
