Aim:
To build participant knowledge and skills in Working with Sexually Abused Children.
Objectives:
- To enable agencies to establish effective partnerships with caregivers
- Providing carers with information they can use
- Arranging for practical parenting support that directly relates to the needs of these children
- Creating a safe place for your child
- Recognising child sexual abuse
- Understanding the impact of sexual abuse
- How we can help children who have been sexually abused
- The question of therapy and building resilience
Training Method
Tutor input, Question and answer session, Group work Case Studies, Practice of skills
Course Materials
All participants will receive a course booklet containing all the key ideas and support material covered on the course.
Course length
1 Day, 10am - 230pm.
