Aim:
To develop participant knowledge in Supporting young people with emotional and Mental Health Difficulties.
Objectives:

  • Understanding difference between mental illness and mental health
  • Understanding how families and professionals respond to children suffering from mental health and mental illness
  • Types and characteristic presentation on mental illness in children
  • Typical interventions to promote rehabilitation and recovery
  • Supporting families and children suffering from mental illness in the community

Training Method
Tutor input, Question and answer session, Group work Case Studies, Practice of skills
Course Materials
All participants will receive a course booklet containing all the key ideas and support material covered on the course.
Course length

1 Day, 10am - 230pm.
