Aim:
To build participant knowledge and skills working with Valuing Diversity & Promoting Equality .
Objectives:
▪ Introduce the concept of equality and diversity
▪ Highlight how stereotyping and labelling affects individuals and groups
▪ Outline the effects of prejudice and discrimination
▪ Examine the rights and responsibilities of individuals and groups
▪ Stress the importance of taking individual responsibility and action to help and support others
▪ Promote good practice in the community and/or workplace
Training Method
Tutor input, Question and answer session, Group work Case Studies, Practice of skills
Course Materials
All participants will receive a course booklet containing all the key ideas and support material covered on the course.
Course length

1 Day, 10am - 230pm.
